The ES-2a, a tribute to the legendary Omega headphone. is designed to provide the ultimate listening experience, closely resembling the original. As the successor to the ES-1a, the ES-2a improves on all aspects, including driver technology.housing. tuning.and much more. We are proud to introduce the ES-2a to both existing ES-1a users and those striving for the best electrostatic headphones on the market.
 
Driver
The ES-2a features a 90mm diameter electrostatic driver made of high-grade, ultra-thin Mylar film that is much thinner than a human hair. The diaphragm is driven by a pair of OFC electrodes which is only 0.3mm thick.This design provides powerful propulsion to the diaphragm, delivering an exceptional sound stage and detail retrieval. Each driver is assembled in a clean room environment with hours of inspection work and the strictest contamination control.
 
Film Technology
For the first time in the industry, ES Lab adopts an embossing printing process for the ultra-thin film dustscreens. By applying ultra-light compressions to the film, a matrix of embossed patterns is printed onto the dustscreen, which is less than a micrometer thick. This minimizes distortion while making the dustscreen acoustically transparent.

Chassis
The ES-2a housing is crafted from CNC-machined aluminum alloy parts and a nylon arc, recreating the classic look of the Omega. The earpads are attached to the chassis using a screw fixation mechanism.Swapping them out is possible for personal
preference or future maintenance.
 
Earpad
Each earpad is crafted through a complex assembly process using PU leather.

Cable
The Pro Bias connection of the driver is linked via a 6-core PC-Triple-C copper cable with insulation cladding and gold-plated connectors. Additional cable options are available upon request.

Package
The ES-2a package includes a Paulownia casing to provide sufficient protection during storage and
transfer.
